Christine and Clint at Venue 1223

On July 27th Christine and Clint tied the knot at Venue 1223 in their hometown of Bluffton, SC. They themed their wedding around their relationship. Everything they did meant something to them. They planned for a simple classic affair with a color palette of Blush, Navy and accented with lots of greenery. Venue 1223 is so adorable. It’s a sub shop in the front with a very “Joanna Gaines” style – shiplap, farm hours tables, all the things. Then an event venue in the back. Same style! The Flower Shop in Bluffton provided beautiful white and blush florals for Christine’s bouquet with roses, ranunculus, and greenery. They kept a romantic vibe with lots of greenery on the tables and candles. A couple after my own heart!!

They tried to personalize every thing they could. Including the delicious cake by filling it with passionfruit because they had passion fruit sorbet on their first date. (HEART EYES! SO MANY HEART EYES) Their favor to their guests were Double Tree Cookies from the place they met and worked at together. Their guestbook was Yard Jenga pieces because they played Yard Jenga on their first date. Last but not least, that GORGEOUS cheese bar. They hand picked all of their cheeses and wines from dates they had, etc. Christine and Clint are so unique and sentimental. I love it! I should have known their wedding was going to be amazing after their sweet engagement session in Hilton Head at one of their favorite date night spots.

How They Met and The Proposal

This sweet couple met working at the Double Tree in Asheville, NC. They barely noticed each other until Christine was getting ready to move and Clint saved some boxes for her. He invited her to a fourth of July party he was throwing. The couple said they had such a good time they decided to have a proper date 2 days later. On that date, they realized they were going to get married one day. They began a long distant relationship until Clint decided to move too Bluffton with Christine. About six months after they moved in together, Clint proposed to Christine on a dock on Calhoun street. We returned there for their wedding day portraits.
