Josh and Stephanie met and started dating while they were in high school. Stephanie knew she wanted a boho and eclectic vibe to her wedding day. She told me from the get go at her engagement session that she wanted lots of greenery and neutral tones. One of my favorite things on EARTH are candle sticks. I love their romantic vibe and love that Stephanie included those in her reception decor. When I asked Stephanie what her favorite part of the day was, she answered that the ENTIRE day was her favorite. It was such a chill, beautiful wedding. You could really tell it was just a day of best friends celebrating two best friends getting married. My favorite part was when all the girls surrounded Stephanie, minutes before the ceremony and prayed over her. Stephanie’s mom said a prayer, her mother in law also gave one and one of her lovely bridesmaids. It was so touching. One of the most special moments I’ve seen.
Chelish Moore did the beautiful bouquets. Lots of eucalyptus, white roses, ranunculus and anemones. Those anemones are so gorgeous. One of my favorite and Steph’s parts of the bouquet. Stephanie wanted a unique dress. She wanted something that no one had seen before. She chose a lace Allure gown. The lace was so chunky and beautiful. It was form fitting with a v-back.
The perfect/dream proposal for Stephanie would be in New York around Christmas time. The bustle of the city, the twinkling lights, snow? Sounds like a dream to me. She shared this with Josh but thought it was unrealistic and put it to the back her mind. After some time had passed her mom and sisters and her had planned a girls trip to the big apple. After sight seeing all day they were finishing up at the Brooklyn Bridge. Her sister was taking photos of her, she went to look at them when she felt a tap on her shoulder and a man saying “Ma’am, I think you dropped something.” Stephanie knew the voice sounded familiar, she turned to see Josh down on one knee. She was so stunned that he had traveled all the way from North Carolina to make her dreams come true.
