Kate & Kobie’s Wedding at the Barn at Rock Creek
Kate & Kobie’s wedding day was filled with blush tones, beautiful chandeliers and a bubbly bridal party. The weather was sunny and hot, perfect for a summer wedding. The Barn at Rock Creek is the perfect in between of rustic and glam. The chandeliers really make a statement. Kate chose a beautiful Stella York dress. The lace was absolutely stunning and it was like it was made for. Simple floating candles were place in the fireplace and lanterns lined the aisle.
How They Met and How Kobie Proposed
Kate & Kobie met at a local bar in Wilmington, NC. Kate was out on a girls night when Kobie asked Kate to dance. She said she normally would decline but she thought Kobie was cute! They hit it off and began dating. One night Kobie took take down to the river front. He insisted on having a picture of the two of them together on their date night. He handed Kate’s phone to a couple nearby to take the photo. As they got ready to take the photo Kobie got down on one knee and proposed too Kate. She said it was completely unexpected.
Advice from the bride
As a bride, everyone will tell you this, but it really is so true: soak up every second of your wedding day. It goes by in the blink of an eye and I find myself looking through our wedding photos constantly because I just love remembering all of the little details from our special day! As far as planning goes, plan everything out early on so when it comes time for your wedding, you won’t be worried about having things in order – they’ll already be done! For marriage advice, just make sure you are marrying your very best friend!
