Tim and Rachael met at church when they were 14 years old. They dated for a brief time and then went their separate ways until 2018 when Tim asked Rachael out. Tim proposed to Rachael on the beach during “family photos.” Surrounded by family Rachael said YES!
I met Rachael and Tim also back when I was probably younger than 14 at church. I was so honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding. Their wedding was at the Oaks Venue, a beautiful, newer venue in Salisbury, NC.
Rachael did an absolutely amazing job designing her wedding. She says she “winged it” but she def has a talent. The colors she chose were so beautiful and soft. They went perfectly with the light and brightness of The Oaks Venue. The punchiest color was the emerald green bridesmaids dresses. Sophisticated Florals did gorgeous pampas grass arrangements for the ceremony. The Bouquet had beautiful dahlias and lush greenery. Their reception florals were DIY. Unspoken designs supplied some beautiful signs for the ceremony and reception spaces.
They hired the bartender from their first date! Yep, Star was definitely a star.
They rented a trolley to take their guests home.
The reception flowers were DIY!
They had individuals pies, cookies, and treats as their desserts.
They barely slow danced for their first dance! THEY STRAIGHT UP BOOGIED!
Rachael tried on her gown 3/4 times before finally choosing it.
