Sonia & Corey’s Wedding at Chickadee Hill Farms

Gosh yall, this wedding was such a dream. It was a hot summer day with such glowy golden light by the end of it. This was my first time photographing a wedding out at Chickadee and it did not disappoint. Chickadee Hill Farms Wedding Venue is in Statesville, NC. This venue is so well done! It’s ridiculous. Even the storage buildings are beautifully done! I’m not even kidding. When you pull in, there is a huge barn for the reception with a loft space for the girls to get ready. Towards the back of the property is a beautiful chapel, with cathedral style windows and elegant chandeliers. Those windows add so much beautiful light to the space. Next to the reception barn is the mini horse stable with a loft space for the guys to get ready. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT! MINI HORSES!!!

Sonia and Corey chose berry colors along with grays for their color pallet. My girl Stephanie from Sophisticated Florals by Stephanie did a beautiful job on the garlands and bouquets. The bridesmaid bouquets were unique hoops instead of typical flowers.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is always portraits. Sonia and Corey decided to have their pup, Ace, join them for the ceremony and some of the portraits. Ace was so cute and he stole the show! He definitely should have joined them for their engagement session. He was the perfect model and loved the mini horses. After the ceremony the party started! Their mix of nationality and culture definitely showed in their music choice. They did a great job keeping the party going with something for everyone.
